We're A Big Family...
"What is Belarus like?"
Belarus is a landlocked country in the center of Europe. It has the size of Kansas (~ 80,000 miĀ²), population of Michigan (around 10 mil), and nature of Illinois ( green plains and forests š³). Like in Japan, 90% of the country consists of forests š³, and itās very common to find a baby bear š» in the suburbs of the capital city Minsk, which has the population of approximately 2 million people.
"What do you cherish most about your cultural heritage?"
What I cherish the most about my country is the people. Belarusians are the kindest people Iāve ever seen. They strongly oppose to the use of violence, and even during the 2021 protests against the current dictator Lukashenko, they acted peacefully; women would give flowers to the soldiers. USSR affected people greatly, if you desperately need a help with something, people will reach-out to you even before you ask. Belarus is like a big family, Iāve never had.
