Why should we value our cultures so much?

Our cultures ultimately all boil down to something simple- our beliefs, values, and behaviors. Culture is the shared language of a community. To embrace multiculturalism and renovate new beliefs, it takes a new generation to cultivate a positive, accepting, and culturally diverse society.

With this blog, the hopes are to highlight the cultures that make up the faces of our Oakwood community. To lead this new generation to form a more loving, safe, and welcoming community. Learning about other cultures beyond one's own, it portrays so much about where people came from, what they value, and what they're struggling with. Each issue on this blog depicts word-for-word how members in the Oakwood community share about their cultures, each with heartfelt words, as well as, precious experiences and memories.
